Welcome to our fully off-grid private luxury resort. Living our Aussie dream of escaping the city and building an off-grid oasis, we have made Coonabarabran and the Warrumbungle region our home since 2017 and completely fallen in love with the community, surrounds and freedom of lifestyle we have created for ourselves. So much so, that we have made it our mission to support the community and share the beauty of what we have created with others.
Inspired by the magnificent region we have put careful thought into every detail, to create a truly unique experience that complements the native landscape.
With our genuine passion for luxurious sustainable accommodation, you can indulge in a unique getaway catered to your individual needs and preferences.
We can accommodate 6 people twin share at the Banksia Lodge or 4 people twin share at the Grevillea Lodge.

OFF-GRID LIVING AND SUSTAINABILITY
Dark Sky Eco Resort is fully off-grid and we are sustainable in all our practices and proud to be able to offer you an impactful, comfortable and memorable experience that is easy on the environment.
POWER – We generate all our own power at Dark Sky Eco Resort. Our onsite solar panels and battery banks provide us (and you) with everything we need.
SPRING WATER – Sandstone filtered pure water is pumped up 30 metres from an ancient aquifer below the property. No additional filtering is needed nor are any chemicals added. The taste is impressive and super fresh.
EXPLORE – Our 2 properties totalling 184 acres at Dark Sky Eco Resort can be explored on foot or in our battery-powered golf carts (available for 3 night stays or more in the Banksia Lodge). We are hugely passionate about our property and its treasures. We maintain it with love and pride.
